Realizing the presence, promise, and power of the Kingdom of God.

Give Him No Rest: Jonathan Edwards on Prayer (PDF)

The meditations that follow are designed to lead you into a fuller, more focused, and more fruitful life of prayer.

Using three works by Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758), the great Puritan preacher and theologian, we will examine the necessity of prayer in the life of faith, the importance of seeking the Lord in prayer for revival, and the goals of spiritual renewal to seek as we pray.

Each morning and evening reading includes a selection from Scripture, an excerpt from one of the works of Jonathan Edwards, a question for reflection, and prayer prompt to guide you in bringing the focus of the meditation before the Lord in prayer.

We hope you will use this book faithfully for 28 days, and that you will share it with others, challenge them to work through these meditations, and join with them to discuss what you’re learning and to share how your prayer life is improving.
