Description
Few subjects are more misunderstood or barely understood than grace. For most Christians, grace is related to forgiveness of sins and salvation: “Grace that is greater than all our sin.” And, while this is certainly so, the grace God extends toward His people is more constant and comprehensive, more wondrous and winsome, and more powerful and precious than most of us realize.
Grace for Your Time of Need hopes to enlarge our vision of God’s grace, showing it to be so necessary and enriching that we need it for all our time and everything we do. This Leader’s Guide uses the questions at the end of each chapter of the book, together with additional questions and activities, to help enlarge our vision of grace, enhance our experience of it, and lead us to seek more and more of the grace of God. Thus, we will live more consistently as agents of grace for His glory, honor, and praise.
Begin each session with prayer. Then read the excerpt quoted from the chapter you will be discussing and make a brief comment on how it brings us into the theme of the chapter. Invite the students to respond to the quote as a way into your discussion of the chapter. Let them talk freely and encourage them to interact. Then lead them through the Questions for Reflection of Discussion. Talk about the recommended Next Steps activity. Make sure to review those activities at the beginning of each lesson after the first. Close your session in prayer.
May the Lord richly bless and empower you by His grace as you lead others to a deeper understanding of this most important aspect of life in the Kingdom of God.
