In one sense, the phrase “disciplined life” can be applied to everyone. We all follow a certain regimen of activities, tasks, works, duties, diver-sions, and so forth that fill the time of our lives. I suspect that many people don’t pay too much attention to the content of their disciplines or what they’re aiming to achieve by them, or even whether these things which fill their day should even fall under the category of “disci-plines”.
The approach in this book will be focus on the life of Christian discipleship—Kingdom living and the disciplines that help us make the most of the precious time God gives us for His glory and our fruitfulness, satisfaction, and enjoyment.
